Current pulses have always occured naturally from lightning and through discharge of static electricity. Users of electronic equipment have had to accept interference problems. Higher demands are now set on devices as well as on electrical ad electronical systems. This is, among other things, a result of the EU's EMC-directives applicable for all new products on the European market. An existing system may need to be protected to endure the electromagnetic environment around it, or it may need to be improved to keep it from affecting the environment. When developing new products it is always profitable to prevent EMC-problems by considering the EMC issues early in the design stage. | |||
